Where’s the rum gone?
So it’s Thursday night, after a major human genetics exam this morning and a absolutely riveting lab session. Watched some Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice, made some stir fry for dinner, and now I’m completely out of things to do. My desktop is pretty much useless since the brand new wireless laser desktop set I bought just a few weeks ago died due to the USB receiver malfunctioning. Fry’s took the return back without a fuss, but didn’t have anything in stock that I wanted. Which leaves the option of ordering one online. I found a asian thrifty-ness approved deal on a new logitech set, however the vendor is being extremely slow about actually shipping it out to me. I have been keyboardless for a week and counting. My laptop is portable enough for classes but doesn’t pack much oomph.
Bored out of my mind, so what does a responsible adult do in my position? Break out some of the alcohol. We brought back two bottles of O’Riley’s Jamaican Rum Cream from our trip, and it’s amazing. Kicks Bailey’s ass. To my dismay, I can’t find a retailer that sells it in the states. I guess that would explain why our fellow cruisers were pushing CASES full of the stuff back on the ship. There are a couple places who sell it online, but the shipping is ridiculous and we got a decent deal in Jamaica.
Guess I’ll have to go back to Jamaica again. Load myself on some jerk chicken, Red Stripe, and rum. And hopefully avoid catching dengue fever like my poor darling boyfriend did.

Things accomplished in the past few months
17. Legally buy alcohol
Finally turned 21, oh how lovely it is
23. Get another pet
25. Go horseback riding
28. Get a new bike because mine was stolen, after 9 years of loving care and attachment
Bought one for $15 off craigslist, pretty normal Walmart quality purple bike.
33. Join a new recreational sport for fun; right now it’s either sailing or archery because I don’t like contact sports
Doing taekwondo and ballroom dancing. I’d do archery but joining the club as a senior isn’t as fun when I have to quit soon.
40. Find a face lotion I actually like and would buy again
Boscia is my new favorite brand, pity the stuff is $30 a tube
51. Take a real cruise
53. Open up a Bank of America savings account
Opened, have not yet linked it to direct deposit yet. Because I’m too lazy to find the form at work.
